Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church is a local Independent New Testament Bible Baptist Church located in Barangay Buhang, Jaro, Iloilo City.
We believe in a supernatural Bible, which tells of a supernatural Christ, Who had a supernatural birth, Who spoke supernatural words, Who performed supernatural miracles, Who lived a supernatural life, Who died a supernatural death, Who rose in supernatural power, Who ascended in supernatural splendor, Who intercedes as a supernatural priest and Who will one day return in supernatural glory to establish a supernatural kingdom on the earth.
Pastor Ruel Gustillo was called to Pastor Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church by God and the Congregtion on April 30, 2017. Previously he was the longtime Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church of La Paz. Pastor Ruel brings with him a wealth of biblical knowledge and a passion for the Bible and it's teaching to Lighthouse BBC.
Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church was organized on March 8, 2014 from the remnants of Village Bible Baptist Churh which had become disorganized and had moved away from the doctrine upon which we believe all Bible Baptist Churches must adhere too.
The organization of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church was moderated by Pastor Ireneo Bugtong, Senior Pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Iloilo in Molo. Pastor Jonathan Steffy was called to be the Pastor of the New Church.
Village Bible Baptist Church began as a mission out of Bible Baptist Chruch of Molo, Iloilo City in November, 1991 under the leadership of Missionary Pastor Jonathan Steffy. Meetings were first held in rented space at the corner of 8th Street, Lawaan Village and the Highway until 1995 when the moved nearby to another house in front of the Memorial Cemetery in Balantang, Jaro. The first members were people who lived in the areas of Brgy Lanit, Quintin Sala, Tacas, Bantatala, Leganes and various other subdivisions like Gran Plains, Alta Tierra and Remonville and Lapaz as well.
On April 30, 2017 Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church merged with Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church and in the process the merged congregation re-dedicated themselves to live by "What the Bible Says" and to work to grow in our unity, fellowship and love for all our Bethren in our community and wiithin our Church Family.
