PETER AND PAUL

This three hour movie covers not only the life of Peter and Paul, but the book of Acts through the book of Hebrews.

The story-line stays in wonderful chronological order according to the scriptures and brings to life the birth of the early Church. The true-to-life, violent conflicts of establishing a new movement keeps the pace moving. The struggles between the followers of Jesus trying to transition from “The Law” to “Grace” contrasting with the acceptance of Greek believers (Gentiles) receiving salvation by faith alone is a Biblical parallel line throughout the movie. A reflection of the storyline happens within the two apostles'

relationship, with the climax of Peter and Paul yelling at each other in their own real frustrations of this “new” life. During the same time they experience pressure from the Roman Government and Religious Government, biting at their heels to maintain power.

This dramatic presentation depicts these two leaders growing in their faith on a daily level with a global effect. These new followers of Christ, Christians as they have been called, truly suffer through the labor pains of the birth of “The Way” a title given to their new life. Scripture is interoperated in the time and culture in which it was written and this movie gives a real sense of that time and culture. Paul felt abandoned by the Jerusalem leaders because he had no contact for seven years, could it be that he was upset? Yes, this movie gives that very real feeling
