“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
I remember that day, when Jesus came and gave me peace; a peace that I had been searching for. I spent many years searching out this world in order to fill a void that lingered over my head for years. There was not a bottle of booze or drug that could ever bring me that sweet peace that Jesus did. I was standing at a crossroad, and as clear as day, God showed me the only two gates I could choose, the wide or the narrow, (Matthew 7:13-14.) I had hit rock bottom and the only way I was getting out of that miry pit, was by the hand of Jesus, (Psalm 40:2.) We race around this life looking for a remedy to bring us peace. Our Savior delivered that peace for us, the day He overcame the world upon the cross. Why do we still search as He is not enough? Jesus is enough! He is our everlasting peace; NOW and for ALL eternity. I tried all the remedies and only by Christ amazing grace have I found His prefect peace that has crushed every fear!
Thank You Jesus for being my peace, through lives smallest and biggest storms. No matter what the day may bring me, with You by my side I can face it with Your amazing peace. Thank You Lord for taking my place on the cross and dying for all my sins and giving me everlasting peace, in Jesus name I pray, Amen
