We know that your first visit to a Church can be difficult. You have no idea what to expect. At Lighthouse Bible Baptist, most of us have been in your shoes and understand you may have some concerns. We want help you to feel more confortable by helping you to plan your visit.
As a visitor to our Church, your experience will be a priority to our members. Expecto be greeted multiple times as you move through the sanctuary to your seat and for that to continue until the start of the service. Every member will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
The service starts with congregational singing, though we have hymnals around the church, the lyrics of each song will be displayed on a screen so that you can sing along if you wish. Most of our hymns are traditional classics. You may remember a lot of them. The congrational singing is followed by a performance by the LBBC choir.
After offiicial welcome by Pastor Ruel also the singing of our Welcome song and a few months for everybody to greet and welcome each other, Pastor Ruel will give a hopeful and encouraging the Message about our Savior Jesus Christ. You can expect the message to be a combination of both english and ilonngo.

Transportation om a Sunday Morning is usually convienient and timely.
If you are driving a personal vehicle, from Plaza Jaro expect about a 15 minute drive. From Plaza Jaro, once you turn right on Iloilo east coast-Capiz Road, the only turn you will make will be at L.J. Ledesma. Look for the orange building on the right side of the road, that will signify you have reached the right place to turn. The Church will then be along about 100 meters on the left side of the road. Look for the black and yellow sign.
You can travel by taxi, most drivers know how to get to L.J. Ledesma. You just have to make sure that the driver turns right off the Coast Road at L.J. Ledesma subd. An orange building will be on the corner then travel straight down to the church.
Jeepneys: There are 3 Jeepney routes that travel from Plaza Jaro through Buhang.
- Jaro Liko - Pick up point is on Plaza Rizal Street in front of Andocks
- Leganges Hiway - Pick up Point is on Plaza Rizal Street, in front of 7-11 Stores 1/4 block from Ledi Supermart
- Leganes LaPaz - Pick up Point is on Plaza Rizal Street, in front of 7-11 Stores 1/4 block from Ledi Supermart
You will have to disembank in front of the orange building on East Coast Capiz Road and either walk the 100 meters or there are trisikads available on the corner.
The cuurent fare is 6 Pesos, but is subject to change.
CHILDREN
Children hold a special place in our hearts at Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church and we make every accomodation for their attendance and their care while you attend the service.
You can keep them with you during the service if you please. However, often younger children will seek your attention while you may be trying listen to and understand what is being said on the podium.
BABIES AND TODDLERS: A room has been set aside from the main sanctuary for babies and very young children. In this area babies and toddlers can play or nap. there are toys available as well places where the little ones can sleep undisturbed. Mothers can join their kids if they have a desire to watch over them but also listen in on the swevice.
Olders children are afforded the Children's Church. In this service children can learn about Jesus in ways they can understand, by Bible Stories, arts and crafts activities, etc. Children are segregated somewhat from the regular congregation so that kids can be kids without being disruptive to the adult service and also kept in a safe threat free learning environment.
We also Have Children's Sunday School which commences 1 hour prior to the church service and eds at 9:15
WHO WE ARE
Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church is a Local Independent New Testament Bible Baptist Church. What that means is all of our beliefs, policies are dictated by the Bible as our final authority. Our doctrine has been developed by what the Bible says. We are not governed by a committee or a convention. Our rules and by-laws and other church policies are determined by the membership as a whole with the only requrement being that whatever it is that we decide must comply within biblical guidelines. We do not have a Pope or Archbishops. We call our Pastor to lead us, we do not hire one. As a Church, only Christ is our overseer.
